Local charity Camsight offers invaluable practical and emotional support for visually impaired people, their families and carers in Cambridgeshire. Whether it be practical help in the community with transport, employment and equipment or emotional support in coping with this difficult experience Camsight are there to help. They also have over 300 trained volunteers to befriend and assist as well as running rural support meetings in villages across Cambridgeshire.
The well known national charity Guide Dogs breeds and trains dogs which provide life changing mobility for blind and partially sighted people around the country. There are currently 45,000 working guide dog partnerships in the UK and it costs £5 per day to support each of these.
We will be carrying out various fund raising events during the year for the Gunite Group charities, starting with a cake bake. This will be closely followed by a two hour Jazzercise workout in April. Keep an eye on our Twitter Feed @Gunite_Group for updates!
