Duration

Scope of Works
This project was to remove six existing cast iron non-return surface water valves and replace them with new HDPE non-return valves on a concrete side wall of the River Severn.
Four of the valves were removed and replaced from the concrete apron during low tide whilst the other two valves had to be removed and replaced via rope access using a counterweight boom system that allowed the rope access technician to carry out the works while the river passed below. The system had a self-climb mechanism that enabled the operative to egress the work area
the same way.
